This inaugural event is the culmination of 10yrs of advocacy by the Artistic Swim AWD Organization to advocate for AWD Organizations globally to hold a World Championship during the Olympic/Paralympic break. This competition is for the Intl Olympic committee to experience the abilities global athletes with disabilities in artistic swimming worthy of recognition of the sport to be on future Paralympic Rosters.
